This is a bad pic but the best that I can do without my laptop! This is another layout from the Cosmo Cricket Jack's World line for Scrap City's DT.

I Love Cosmo Cricket
I used Cosmo Cricket's Jack's World paper and ribbon on this layout of Ben's School Picture and I wrote in white on the bottom of the grade to try and match the background paper.
Also, Cosmo Cricket paper for Bella's treat jar. I used the Black chip board for CC and went over it with Pearl Ex.
There is still plenty of time to get in the running for the prize this month at Scrap City.

Hunting Season
I made this layout for Scrap City's theme challenge this month. The challenge is "Seasons", so I used hunting season, it can be anything really Fall, Winter, Seasons Greeting, Football Season...you get the idea. Go check out this month's challenges and the great prize for this month.
Our sponsor this month is Cosmo Cricket and I am working with the Jack's World line, which is adorable. I will post my projects around the 15th.

So Sorry
I have been a bad blogger! I think I have finally gotten my creativity back and am getting some things done. My laptop is on the fritz and I never knew how much I missed it 'til it was gone. I miss blog hopping while sitting on the couch. It's just not as much fun sitting at the desk in a room by myself. Anyway, please forgive me! I am trying to get back in the swing of things and I hope to be visiting your blog soon.

My RAK for the SC Crop

I am giving away this We R Memory Keepers page kit to the person who recruits the most new members to Scrap City during our crop this week. The paper is really great heavy weight and gorgeous design and colors. It comes with a sheet of alphabet stickers and a sheet of die cuts to match the paper.

Update on Bella
This was taken Monday night, she was spayed that morning. Her wounds have healed wonderfully and the surgery went well. She's doing great today. It's hard to believe that we've only had her 3 weeks, she is so much a part of our family already and I can't imagine not having her.
Bella prefers to wear bandanas to hide her scar. The scars are part of her character but I hate people always asking me what happened to her when we go to PetSmart!
She is so smart she has learned sit, shake and lay down easily. She could learn more, I just don't know how to teach other commands! Anyone know any tricks I could teach her?

Scrap City Design Team Projects
This layout of Leanne and Ben was done from a sketch. The patterned paper is Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket.
This is for my Scrap City design team challenge this month. We had to scrap a layout about an addiction and I always have a Diet Coke in my hand. I cut some embellishments from a carton the coke came in, for the background I painted the paper silver then sprinkled with glitter.

Mini Album From Garbage!

I made this mini album for my Niece from garbage! The album holder is a Jiffy muffin mix box, they are the perfect size, and the pages were cut from cardboard. I had a Heidi Grace kit that I was wanting to get rid of so I used most of it on this project. The pictures I used were from this summer when she spent a week with me, these pics weren't worthy of a layout, but perfect for a mini album for her. I did this for the altered challenge at Scrap City.
I'm sorry that I've been such a bad blogger lately. My laptop is not working so I'm chained to the desk instead of blog hopping on the coach!
Here's a yummy recipe to using Jiffy Cornmeal Mix so you can get some empty boxes and this stuff in really cheap. This is a great side dish for the holidays and it's so easy.
Corn Casserole
1 can of creamed corn
1 can of whole kernel corn
8 oz. sour cream
1 box of Jiffy Corn Meal Mix
1 tbs. sugar
3/4 stick of melted butter
2 eggs
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients together pour in casserole dish and bake for 40-45 minutes, until it's a little brown on top.

Daddy's Baby

Scrap City has their November challenges up, check them out we have some good ones this month. This is the sketch challenge, I really like the format.
I know it's fall but I am so behind on my scrapping that I still have tons of summer pics to scrap. Hayes is such a Daddy's boy he would prefer for Justin to tote him around all the time! These pics are from their Florida vacation. I love the one where he's laying his head on Justin's shoulder.
I'm still working on getting my scrap stuff organized by color, I think it will a great system if I ever get finished! How do you organize by color, manufacturer or by type? I would love some tips.

New Arrival-Welcome Bella
I know this picture looks like one of those big headed stuffed animal dogs, but she loves me so much I can't get a picture without her walking towards me!
Kristin and I went to the animal shelter on Thursday, they had a full house so there were plenty to choose from. I walked right by this little girl and really didn't notice her because she wasn't barking or jumping, she was just sitting there. We took a few dogs out in the yard to play with and thought we had found the one we wanted. We went in the office to fill out the paperwork and we were going back to the cage when this one caught my eye. She looked up at me with the saddest eyes I've ever seen...it was love at first sight! I went in the cage with her and she crawled up in my lap, I knew she was MY dog. Her name is Bella and she is the sweetest puppy ever. The vet says she is at least a year old but not much older than that. She looks like a miniature lab and weighs 28 pounds.
I was hesitant to put a picture of her injury on here but I wanted to remind anyone looking for a dog to please not go and buy one. There are so many in shelters waiting for a chance to have a real home. Bella was so scared because some very mean person had hurt her and more than once. This gash on her back is healing well and will leave another scar, she has a scar on her hip from a previous injury. Abused dogs make the best pets they are thankful to be saved. So I encourage you to adopt a needy dog.
We had a Halloween swap at Scrap City and look at the great happy mail I got from Wendy! I can't believe there are Thickers that I didn't have, these are glittery lavender and will look awesome on a layout for one of the girls, pretty flowers, great Halloween stamps....thank you Wendy!

Two Looks
I love the neat, clean look of the layout with the negative space, but I love piling things on too! The top layout was done with little embellishment. The layout below I painted raw chipboard, then covered it with glitter and tied ribbon to it. This is a good example of me not having a particular "style" of scrapping, I like to mix it up.

First Task at Lime Light
Our first task at Lime Light was to make a set of 2 cards and a bookmark for Marines. One card is for the Marine, one for them to send to a loved one and the bookmark can be for either. Check out our blog for more pics. I am so happy to be part of this charitable design team and being able to use my hobby to help others, even if it is such a small thing as a card.

The Whole Thing!
I made my own embellishments for this layout. I cut donuts out of cardboard and sprinkled them with bits of cardstock.

Lil Monsters
Logen is a vampire and Hayes is a bat this year for Halloween. This layout was done for Scrap Your Crap's new challenge to use up your old Halloween stuff, the buttons that I sewed to the fence are several years old. The vampire was made using Cricut's Paper Doll cartridge that I have had for awhile and never used.
Also, I am so excited to be chosen for Scrap City's new design team and I can't wait to get started working with these very talented group of gals! Thanks Wendy for making me part of your team.

Go Logen Go
I've been a bad blogger and I really need to make my blog hopping rounds, too! I have been trying to reorganize my scrap space and it's been a slow process. I am in the process of sorting everything by color and I think once I finish it will a great system. Stacy Jullian was on Scrapbook Memories a few weeks ago and stated that was how she worked, so I thought I would give it a try.
I finally finished a layout today though. The journaling on this layout is was done on a Maya Road sheer plastic index card. I had so much to say that I attached a piece of paper folded accordian style, then attached to card and page and used paper clips to hold the spot.
