My Rock, My Daddy

I loved this picture of my Daddy (isn't he cute!) by the pool at my brother's house on Labor Day weekend. (Yes I'm that far behind!) He is always there for me no matter what and I wanted to pay tribute to him with a layout. This page was designed for the technique challenge at Scrap City, the challenge was to sew on a layout. I machine stitched the scalloped circle to the background paper and I hand sewed the buttons to the layout.

King of the Grill

My LOAD for today! This is not for any challenge or team work, just a layout for Greg. Everyone loves his cooking especially from the grill.

LOAD 2/4

It's not too late to get in on the fun at LOAD with Lain. I did it last year and was able to complete a layout a day, this is a great way to get caught up. These photos are from Labor Day, so that shows how far behind I am.

No Mistake

There are no mistakes in scrapbooking! I laid out my paper for this layout and one of the cats chewed off part of the heart, so I cut that part off and repositioned the heart. I didn't like the way the stamped Christmas turn out so I used Stickles to cover it. So while this may not be the layout I had in mind when I started it turned out fine!

Scrap Your Crap's challenge this month is to use Red and Pink in a layout. The patterned paper was left over from a Fiskars rak, I think it's Heidi Grace.
