This it what I deal with every day! My scrap space is always a mess and some cat is always looking over my shouldler, sitting in my chair or laying on my the page that I am trying to work on! Most of the time it's Meg (she's the one behind me in this pic), Homer is my big fat cat that likes to sit in this chair...but once I sit down he is out of there! Homer was a rescue cat that was full grown when I got him so he is not so social. Meg is a rescue also, but we have had her since she was 5 weeks old so she is kinda clingy...doesn't like to be alone.
If you are looking for a pet please try and adopt or rescue rather than buy an animal. I have 2 cats and 1 dog all were rescued from certain death and they are the greatest pets. No they don't have pedigees or papers and will never win a dog or cat show, but they love unconditionally and are grateful to have a good home.

Looks like me...but with a 2yr old hanging off of the chair*!*
I'm with Dianna...that's the same in our house, but usually I have a 5 year old sitting next to me scrapping his heart out.
I totally agree with you about pets. It's so much better to rescue. Our ancient cat was a rescue and she was malnourished and mistreated, but she has been with us for 14 years now.
I'm a big fan of adoption! I'm not a huge cat person (I do own one and I love her) - more a dog person. Your cat is adorable and I have a friend who is gonna love your photo! Have a great day!
Isn't Meg adorable?!?! How fun and cozy to have them with you! Your scrap space is great!!!
I totally agree! We are the same way in this household...all our pets were rescued! :)
What a great picture, my old man cat has to sit next to me when I "create" I have a special chair for him, if it is not there next to me he whines till I go get it. He is a rescued cat, my other cat was a Ferrel cat, born under my house and is now inside and has no interest in going anywhere, he is so sweet and loving.
Both of our cats were rescued. They tend to find us. However both cats have won purple ribbons at the cat show and Sox (who looks just like your Meg) took 3rd place last year. We have had her since she was about 4 weeks old and she also doesn't like to be left alone, but she is getting better at staying home by herself when we are all at school.
Bravo on the rescue plug! Our Princess is an Australian Shepherd that we got from a local shelter after her elderly owner gave her up after fleeing the Hurrican Katrina area. He was going to go into a nursing home. Anyway, she is the BEST dog, and I love her so. We got her at 6 months, and she just turned 3 in April. She's outside right now in the backyard playing with my girls. They're so crazy about her!
Anyway, your cat is adorable, and I love the photo! She's so cute, and I do NOT consider myself to be a cat person at all. Adorable!
No cats here although I'm sure if there were I'd have the same issues of them getting into my stuff!!!
I love hearing you endorse rescuing pets instead of buying them - like you said, no pedigrees and they won't be show winners but they are the best pets you can ever have!!! We are on our 2nd rescue dog - rest in peace our original old man - and she, Daisy, is the best pet friend you could ask for!!!
Here is Diva Daisy:

All 5 of my dogs are strays. I could care less if they have papers or a pedigree! I love them!!
Meg looks like she basically is allowing YOU to sit in her chair!!
GREAT picture!
