Cassie's Dress

Cassie's dress was made by her Great-Grandmother when she was two, she is now 20! I found the dress and the leftover fabric and notions while clearing MeMaw's house out recently. The journaling is hidden under the picture, it is meant for Cassie only so I wanted to hide it.

I used a strip of the leftover fabric and lace for the border on the right. The chip board "C" and the button dotting the "I" are covered with the fabric, also. I sewed the picture to the mat with leftover buttons so the the picture could be lifted up to reveal the journaling.

What a sweet layout! I love how you were able to use the fabric and notions on the layout itself.

I really like this layout. How cool to be able to use some of the material left over from the dress to make the layout. I may have to rething that box of scraps in the closet.

I love how you did this! Wonderful job. Do you have to switch needles when sewing on paper? I haven't tried it yet.
