Kristin at 17, her and some friends went to the park at night, no way would they go during the day! When's the last time you went down a slide or took a ride on a playground rocker? You're never too old to play!
This is for Scrap City's scraplift challenge, I lifted this design from Dawn.
I used Bazzill's cardstock with an edge, foam Thickers, Cuttlebug embossing folder and I stamped the butterflies and then cut them out. I love Thickers!!!

New Family Member
Does my house have a sign out front that says WELCOME ALL STRAY CATS? This one started showing up at night and Kristin fed her. Well that was a week ago and now she's here to stay. I tried to find out where she belonged, she is not wild so I know she belonged to someone, but I don't think she wants to go home. Last night we named her and once they have a name I know that I'm attached! So welcome to the family Trixie!
I am soon going to be referred to as "that" weird lady down the street with all the cats! (you know the one!)
I hope to have something scrappy tomorrow. I have been in a bit of funk this weekend and unmotivated to do anything creative.

Gator Ride
This week's challenge at Scrap Your Crap was to use at least 2 of those shaped papers and borders. I have had this paper for months and I only bought because of the shape, so I was glad to get rid of it!

We Scrap
My "Lost in This Moment" layout is the featured layout of the day at We Scrap. I am also taking a free class called Techniques 101 that started yesterday, it looks like it's going to be really fun. This class is full, but they are going to offer it again and I think they are taking applications now.

That Phone
This is for the June sketch at Scrap City. This is a simple layout, I just wanted to showcase the photos.
My husband is always working even when we were on our honeymoon! These photos were taken a few after we were married. We were married in the same spot, it overlooks Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe. We were married on the California side, but out Hotel was on the Nevada side.

Yeah!!!
Twelve hours later and I can actually see my work space...Woo Hoo!!!
It still looks cluttered but I just have so much stuff, even after I purged quite a bit.
It feels great to have my scrap room back, but now I'm so tired I can't even scrap. Maybe after I rest a little I can get some late night scrapping done.
I still have some organizing to do, my paper really needs weeding through and I like Drea's idea about organizing by manufacturer. But some of my paper isn't labeled so I am not even sure what brand it is! Thanks again for the ideas and keep them coming, I'm not drawing a name until Monday morning.

It's A Start!
Die Cut Central at noon today! Yeah...it's a start and now that I've got started I don't feel so overwhelmed. Thank you all for your suggestions. I will draw a winner from the suggestions on Monday morning.
Die cutting area of my scrap room at 8am this morning.

HELP!!!!
I have such a mess! I don't know how this happened, I think the same person that tangles Christmas lights in the attic did this to my scrap space. Leave me a tip on how to get my space back and once I have this chaos under control I will draw a comment for a RAK from my stash.

Wedding Gift
Another wedding gift, I sold the first one on ebay. My cousin asked to me to do a layout as a wedding gift for a friend of hers. I did one a few weeks ago and since she didn't need it right away I thought I would test the waters on ebay with a premade page. It sold for $10. So I had to do another one, she better hurry up and get this one or I might just sell it too! I made this one flat enough to fit in a 12X12 frame. They have the frames on sale this week at Hobby Lobby for 50% off the $7.99 normal price.

Queen Card
Ya'll all know that I am milking this "Queen" thing for all it's worth and I only have a few more days then I will be dethroned! Judy sent me this adorable card...isn't she the sweetest?!?!
Thank you so much Judy, I love the card!

Fun Canvas
I'm really not that bad of a photographer, I blurred the face on this one. I did this canvas for pay and it's a good thing I had fun because I think I made $1 an hour! I really don't think I have future as a professional scrapper, I'm too slow and when I am creating for someone else I am too much of a perfectionist!
I glued the photo to the blank canvas then smeared Vasoline over the part of the picture I didn't want to cover, then painted pink, I inked with Distress Ink in tea dye color to tone down the bright pink and then painted with glaze. I removed the Vasoline with a flannel rag. I then put ribbon, lace, the chipboard K covered in patterned paper and flowers. I covered the back with felt. I really have fun working on canvas, I can't draw or paint but I can scrapbook and working on canvas makes me feel like an artist! lol

Scrap Your Crappy Old Tags
This is my last week as the Queen of Crap! This week's challenge is to use 4 or more tags on a layout, I used 5 on mine. So dust your tags off and get to scrappin'! Post your entry to slide show at Scrap Your Crap. I used twist ties on the tags that are so cute from K&Co. Eye Kandee line.
All of these pictures of my brother were taken on the Sunday before Memorial Day at the lake. We had such a fun day out on the boat all day and then after coming off the lake we had a party out on the back deck playing music and singing until the wee hours of the morning. These pics truly reflect my brothers personality, he's such a fun guy, great father, husband, brother, son and friend.

BFFs
This was my first time using Gesso on a layout, it is a little bit thicker than acrylic paint and I thought it might work better with the Heidi Swapp masks I used on this layout. It did have better coverage, but it wrinkled more than it would have with paint. I ironed the paper and it was better. I will use Gesso again because it gives a good base for handwriting journaling.
This layout is for my Aunt's album so I didn't do any journaling. I am the scrapbooker in the family, I make pages for my aunt and my cousin.

"Beer" Mug
I just had to try this! Here's my version of the one at Thrifty Fun. I used Werther's instead of butterscotch, the butterscotch was too orange plus the Werther's taste better. Thanks Wendy for the hook up.

Father's Day Card
My Father In Law always has some project going on in their house so a gift card for the Home Depot is always something he can use. I made a little pocket on the inside of the card to hold the gift card securely.
Check out this idea for a cute little gift at Thrifty Fun. Wendy posted the link on the Scrap City message board and I just loved the idea so I thought I would share it here.

Birdhouse
The altered challenge this month at Scrap City was to alter a birdhouse. I have made a ton of layouts lately so I thought what the heck I'll give the birdhouse a try. I found the unfinished wood birdhouse last week at Hobby Lobby for $1.19, it was on sale. I don't what in the heck I'm going to do with this snazzy little birdhouse, but I had fun! I will probably give to my niece since I got her started scrapbooking and of course pink is her favorite color (she's 11).

Free Cardstock?
How did a trip to Archiver's for free cardstock turn into this? I had a coupon for 3 free sheets of cardstock and I had to use it, I mean it was free. Then I saw those adorable penguin stamps that Carol had used to make a card in the hot spot for $1.99, then I headed for the clearance section and I found some deals up to 75% off, heck they were practically giving stuff away. So how in heck did free cardstock end up costing me $82! But just look at this cool stuff.

Scrap Your Crap Challenge
Here's my entry for the Father's Day scrap your crap challenge. The only rule this week is you can't use anything new to create your layout or card. I have had this Prisma Paintables paper for months and finally used a sheet. I "painted" mine with Twinkling H2Os, watercolor pencils and crayola watercolors. I have found that the kids crayolas work just fine and they're cheap! I put yellow alcohol ink on some Heidi Swapp ghost flowers and layered them over the flowers on the paper. I hung charms from the metal strip. I cut the bird from a piece of patterned paper and coated it with Glossy Accents.

Scrap Your Crap Challenge
This week's challenge is up at Scrap Your Crap. You just have to make a Father's Day layout or card and the only rule is you have to use something from your stash, you can't buy anything new.
My layout is up on their site. Come on over and complete this challenge, it's an easy one!

Father's Day Card
I made this Father's Day card for my husband. Inside I wrote, "I got a hole in one when I found you!" I stamped the GOLF image and used Quick Kutz grass die and cut several in different shades of green.
I have been working on layouts for Scrap Your Crap and I think they will have one of them up tomorrow. I won't post them here until they have them up on their site.
I hear thunder which means I have to go turn the television on and make sure there are no tornadoes headed my way!

That's Queen Lisa To You
Yeah...it's going to my head! I was thrilled to be crowned the Queen of Crap for the next two weeks. Greta and Simone are the best and I look forward every week to their challenge to Scrap Your Crap! Because I have completed nearly every challenge they've issued, they decided to bestow upon me the title of her loyal highness Queen Lisa of Crap! lol If you haven't done their challenges now is the time to try it. Their goal is help us put a dent into that every growing stash of scrappy crap that we've accumutaled, so come on over and join in this week's challenge.
Sorry nothing scrappy today, I have spent the day going through hundreds of photos and weeding out the unscrapable ones. I will have something scrappy done tomorrow!

Lost In This Moment
This layout is for a challenge at Scrapping The Music. The song this week is Lost In This Moment by Big and Rich. I did a monochromatic color scheme so I didn't take anything away from this awesome photo.
I knew this photo that my daughter Kristin took was perfect for the title. She captured a beautiful sunset at Shelby Farms and you can see her and her boyfriend's feet in the picture.

Quick Card
I made this card with the leftovers from a top secret layout that I have been working on today. You will have to come back on Sunday to see the layout!
This paper is Basic Grey's Cupcake line, there are some really pretty patterned papers in this line.

Burton Family Portrait
This layout is for the color combination challenge at Scrap City. If you haven't checked their site out you should go take a look, they have some great challenges this month.
This is another old photo of my husband and his family, I acquired a ton of photos after his grandmother passed away. I am glad to have them because my husband didn't have many family pictures. I went with a kinda vintage look for this pic and I used the rest of my Kimberly Poloson kit that May at Fiskateer's sent me a couple months ago.

I Can't Leave Well Enough Alone!
I thought I was finished with this layout after I added the waves, then I thought it needed some ribbon, then I just had to put some buttons on...but the icing on the cake (layout) is my beautiful handmade blinged out feathered fish!!! When will I learn to leave well enough alone, come to think of I think that fish looks a bit lonely...no, no more fish!
Seriously, I kept thinking of Logen as a being a little fish because he loves the pool so much, thus a fish is born.

Madeline
This layout has taken most of the day. I did the stitching around the layout by hand and I didn't realize how long that would take, once that was done the rest was easy. I used felt, vinyl and chipboard Thickers, I love these things! I punched the lacy border on the mat and then back it with real lace. I wanted a really girly layout for this sweet picture of Madeline when she was three years old.

Tag I'm It
Sorry Tina, I totally forgot you tagged me! Here are seven random things about me:
1. I was named Lisa after a soap opera character on As the World Turns.
2. My middle name is Leigh and I don't know why, my Mom and Dad don't know why they came up with that name and what's even worse I gave that name to my daughter!
3. I'm from a very small town and the older I get the more I miss it, I live near Memphis now. Even though in a small town if you fart everybody smells it!
4. I still make the 2 hour drive to said small town to get my hair done...so I can keep up with the lastest gossip.
5. I justify the time and money I spend on scrapbooking because I am preserving my family history...yeah right. My name is Lisa and I am a scrapaholic!
6. Some days I am in my pajamas most of the day.
7. I have 5 friends from my childhood that I am still very close to and we see each other as often as we can.
Now I have to tag seven people and if I've tagged you before, I forgot and I'm sorry. Don't feel guilty if you don't want to participate.
1. Robin
2. Judy
3. Kylie
4. Amy
5. Donna
6. Dianna
7. Greta
