I'm really not that bad of a photographer, I blurred the face on this one. I did this canvas for pay and it's a good thing I had fun because I think I made $1 an hour! I really don't think I have future as a professional scrapper, I'm too slow and when I am creating for someone else I am too much of a perfectionist!
I glued the photo to the blank canvas then smeared Vasoline over the part of the picture I didn't want to cover, then painted pink, I inked with Distress Ink in tea dye color to tone down the bright pink and then painted with glaze. I removed the Vasoline with a flannel rag. I then put ribbon, lace, the chipboard K covered in patterned paper and flowers. I covered the back with felt. I really have fun working on canvas, I can't draw or paint but I can scrapbook and working on canvas makes me feel like an artist! lol

Sounds like you had fun ... but, yes, crafting for money doesn't generate much in the way of moola! :) I've seen quilts sell for prices I know means the quilter made about 50 cents an hour!!!!
this came out great, know what you mean about pay per hour, it also takes me forever to create for someone else.
This is adorable. I used to do lots of crafty things and still have moments when I get into a project - like sewing or something - I miss doing all that stuff. I enjoy seeing the projects your are working/have worked on - so cute!
Have a good day - Kellan
It looks good even if it did take you forever. lol
What a great canvas....I don't think I would have the patience to attempt anything like this.
That really cool I like it!
This is adorable! I would have never thought to use vasoline!
